The forklift accident died at the work place. Most work place accidents are codified in most employers’ handbooks. It is true that forklifts are sturdy, but a simple mistake can cause great injury. Usually the accidents like the one above happen to people that have been operating machinery for a long time. The question is whether the forklift is safe to operate in small places, like a warehouse, or it is mainly an operator problem.

The manufactures claim that the this type of accident died long time ago. There are not reported deaths in 2006 and 2007 because of a forklift malfunction. It is mainly the operator’s error. This cannot be a complete disclaimer of liability. Manufactures must make the forklift safer and easier to operate. Using simple things like mirrors could save help lives, and the cost of implementing safety measures like this one can easily spread out in the price of the forklift.

Workplaces around America claim that the forklift accident died due to employers push to have forklift operators licensed and trained before they employ an operator. We have seen some of the training and it can be deemed inadequate. A 30 minute video will not be enough. If you think about the amount of injury a forklift can cause you, you will see that a 30 minute video will not prepare you for every situation.
