However, 10 years ago, my husband had an accident and our insurance company actively worked to cover their own interests but left us to fend for ourselves.
My husband was rear ended and injured (not badly). In order to protect ourselves, we consulted with an attorney. The person who hit my husband did not have insurance, nor did they even speak English.
Turns out, the way our insurance wanted us to handle the damage to our auto would have caused our rates to go up, even though the accident wasn't my husband's fault.
We followed the attorney's advice and things got rectified. Fortunately my husband's injuries were minor and everything worked out.
But it just goes to show how insurance will look out for themselves, their own bottom line and leave the customer in the dust. To the rest of the world, this is regarded as unethical, but I guess to them it's a matter of business.
I love your site and think your doing a great job helping people in a "cut-throat" area where help can be very hard to find.
Keep up the great work!
