A friend was using my truck for the night. Road was black ice and hit a bolder

A friend was using my truck ( Dodge Ram 1994)1500.. for the night and the road had black ice on it, which made him slide off the road and hit a bolder.

A lot of damage was done to the front end. underneath is where the damage was. Front axle rim tire and the arms all damaged. Will insurance pay for it.

I have limited collision, comprehensive and liability.

Answer to A friend was using my truck for the night. Road was black ice and hit a bolder

Hello there,

Well, it depends on what the "limited" portion of your collision coverage mean.

This would be a collision loss, where the carrier would have to repair the vehicle and apply the deductible that you agreed to when you purchased the policy.

Typically this type of loss is covered without issue, so long as your friend had permission to drive your truck.

However, the "limited" portion may add an exclusion that we are not aware of and that could give you issues.

Good Luck,
