How to determine if a car is totaled?

I recently had a car accident in which I had damage to my front bumper, hood, radiator and I believe my axle is broken.


When I turn the steering wheel my tires don't move at all.

I wanted to know if this would qualify my car for being totaled?

The damage of your car is important, but more important the value of your car. If the cost to fix car will be more than the actual cash value of your car (its fair market value), then it will be a total loss. If the answer is not, then it is not. We explain the process in detail here:
