by Nikki
(sherwood,ar)

I was hit a few months back. I stopped at a stop sign and when i pulled out a vehicle with no lights on t-boned me, and I spun out, is there anyway to determine how fast the other vehicle was going when he hit me?

Answer:

Yes there is a way, but we do not thing it would help you to determine the crash rate or speed in your situation. You will need at least to be able to tell how long the skids marks where. We recommend you visit:

They have great explanations on determining speed (the math formulas).

Determing speed in a vehicle collision
by: Lori

I'm trying to figure out how fast a vehicle was going when it hit a patch of frozen hail on the road and went down into the ditch. There are no skid marks as the brakes were only lightly tapped and not slammed on.
