Lien holder claim | What are our rights

We repossessed a vehicle. And it seems to be totaled. Our customer open a claim at the time of accident.

It was denied because her policy was cxl for non pymt, customer reinstated the policy, which now is active.

Our company was not aware of the accident til the time of repo. we are trying to open a lien holders claim now that the car is in our possession. But the insurance company is denying the process.

What are our rights as the lien holders? Thank you...

Answer:

The lien holder may have rights in the policy, but it depends on policy language. You will need to have a lawyer look at this situation and the state case law. Talk to an attorney.
