Other insurance co. has denied liability

They stayed to speak with the investigating police officer. The other parties insurance company never even contacted my witnesses. I tried getting in touch with them every day for 2 weeks with no success until they called me to say they were not accepting liability. I only carried liability on my policy and my van was totaled.

I can't afford a lawyer - I was just laid off this week. Who can I go to or contact for help?
