Backing of parking lot claim | Who is at fault?

My wife and a co-worker were driving separate cars to a work function and missed the parking lot. My wife pulled into a residential driveway and started to back up to pull out and turn around. Her co-worker pulled into the same driveway and hit her. Who is at fault here?

Answer:

Probably your wife. She is backing out of a parking lot. She has higher duties than the vehicle coming into the parking lot.
