Big old tire damage to my truck

I had a faulty tire blow & damaged my truck. I got a hold of dealer & they put me in touch with their claims dept. after talking to rep they asked for a statement & two quotes so i sent them in after waiting a while the agent said they needed to send out THEIR adjuster to look at vehicle then about a week later we got a check in the mail that was $1800. Lower than our lowest quote.

I thought as law gives me the right to take & have my vehicle repaired where I wanted to. now i cant even get my truck completely fixed.

It just doesn’t seem right. any help & advice or law statutes that might apply would be greatly appreciated!

We don’t have any law or statues. Please contact a local attorney for that.

Our understanding is that you can only request what is reasonable and necessary (not dealer prices). Have the adjuster talk to your mechanic.
