Car audio system stolen

Encompass insurance is giving us the run around. My son's car was broken into and his audio system stolen.

Encompass sent an adjuster out twice.. just to prove the system was actually screwed in (it was)Now they are saying I needed special theft insurance for this audio equipment...

I mean seriously I paid an extra 7$ a month for coverage and now they dont want to pay?

Beware of Encompass! Obviously on some insurance claims they try to avoid responsibility.

Answer:

That does not sound correct. If the stereo was screwed in, they it is part of the vehicle and it is very likely covered.

Talk to a lawyer.
