Vehicle stolen recovered why deemed total loss?
My vehicle was stolen on 6/10 and recovered on 6/14
Nationwide total loss on that day
indicated repairs are $14,000.00 INCLUDING $2500 FOR REAR BUCKET SEATS AND ABOUT $4000.00 FOR NEW WHEELS & TIRES
FOUND SEATS IN MY GARAGE ;NOTIFIED ADJUSTER HE SAYS IT DID NOT MATTER THEY WERE IN AND OUT FREQUENTLY
DEALERSHIP SAYS COST TO REPAIR IS $3330.00 LESS WHEELS AND TIRES EST AT $4000.00 I have an add on to my policy for these
Car has only a little door damage from entry and the rest is electrical from disarming alarm system
Car value is between $15k & 20K
Nationwide indicated they used 70 % in one conversation and 80% in another
What options do I have on it; if they say total loss, can I protest or challenge?
Answer:
Well, you can dispute the total loss value the same way you do if the car was not "stolen and recovered."
