Do I authorize the release medical records to other insurance company?

I understand the other insurance company needs a certain amount of medical records to justify my injury claim from the accident but how far back am I required to give them access to my medical records?

I received a form in the mail from them and I'm not quite sure how much information to give? Please advise. Thank you.
