Getting money after an accident

I was wondering if I was in an accident and it wasn't my fault and the other person has full coverage would I be getting money for getting whiplash and my daughter sprained her back from his insurance company since it was the guys fault?

It was me and my 3 daughters in the vehicle when it happened.

The person hit me from behind when the freeway was slowing down. I was told I should get money for me for everything that I went threw.
