Insurance claim deadline

by Mimoza

I got involved into a car accident in October 2010 and I did not realize that all my health problems came from that car accident until more than a year when I started talking with the insurance company; who denied my claim for filing my claim more than a year after the car crash happened.

I am disabled from this car crash and cannot perform even some basic daily activities.

They are paying for my medical bills but they denied my bodily injury claim.

What is my option?

Answer to Insurance claim deadline

Hello Mimoza,

You have to turn a claim within a reasonable time. There is, however, something call the "discovery rule" which may apply here. It is crutial that you talk to a lawyer. The fact that they are covering some part of the claim may have waived their right to say that you should not be covered at all.

Please talk to a local attorney. It is that important! Fill the form below for an attorney near you.
