Insurance, is he covered?

I sold a vehicle to my brother and he transferred the title, but the insurance was still in my name when he got in an accident that was his fault... my question is: If he goes to court, will he be charged with not having insurance?

Well, the vehicle had insurance at the time, so there should not be a ticket. However, that insurance might not provide coverage (having insurance and getting coverage are two different things).

If the vehicle is transferred, then the seller (the person who put insurance on the car) does not have an insurable interest on the car. If this is the case, the policy would not trigger coverage. Please see:
