Is hail damage on your car received in your driveway covered by your home owner's insurance?

Hail storm damaged the roof of our home (it is going to be replaced) and the roof and hood of our car.

Is the car repair covered under the homeowner's policy?

Most likely not. You need comprehensive coverage in the vehicle to have hail damage covered. The home owners policy will only cover damages to the structure of the home and its contents, however, 99% automobiles are excluded from the definition of contents.
