Pulled out onto street and got hit

I was pulling out from a parking lot. I had looked left right then left and there were no cars i saw coming so I went.

But there must have been a car in my blind spot because it hit my front passenger door and fender on the right side of my car.

Was this my fault? I think the person that hit me was speeding because there is a large dent.

Answer:

Yes. It was your fault. You back out into in coming traffic.

They may have some fault, but you are the one backing.
