State Farm
by: Anonymous

My husband and I have had State Farm for years and never had ANY problems until we moved and had to change agents. Our agent the we picked up after moving has been about as helpful as a rash. He is really interested in selling us new services but he is terrible about maintaining the business he has. He has one person who is knowledgeable in his office and 4 that are terrible and who drop the ball all the time. The worst and least dependable is his wife.

We recently had to file a claim for a piece of lost or stolen jewelry and now 5 weeks later we are still waiting for them to settle the claim and pay up...I do not think State Farm is the problem, I believe the problem is our greedy agent!

Answer:

Well, it is true that most insurance agents have vested interest in not filing claims and keeping their loss ratio low. However, if they don't do their job, you will go to another agent or simply another insurance company.

If you are not happy with your agent, you should consider looking at someone else, even if it is with State Farm. Right now you are dealing with stolen jewelry, tomorrow you might be dealing with medical bills and who knows what else.

Good Luck.
